Incorporating your favorite things into your wedding!

Weddings should be about YOU & YOUR partner!!! No doubt about that because your wedding guests are coming to celebrate YOU & YOUR partner's union. So how do you bring your personality, your favorites, your uniqueness into this one time life time celebration.Well below you will find 5 great ideas you should execute so as to personalize your wedding and ensure that yes it screams about YOU!!!!

Your wedding day theme can be all about you so here are a few things you should tips & ideas:

Your favorite color: Do you have a favorite color, or do you have an object, a favorite dress, a piece of furniture that you would like your wedding to draw inspiration from . You can decide that your main wedding colors will be from the object for example:

How can I use this as inspiration for my wedding colors?

For starters I can use the perfume bottle & perfume color for my wedding color. This is an example of how you can use objects as inspiration for your wedding theme color. It is always advisableto carry your favorite items along so that your wedding decorator can design a wedding color theme based on them.

Your favorite  songs: Whose your favorite artist? Do you have a particular love song that is special

To you and your partner? Well, it doesn't  it does not have to be a love song it can be any song that has memories for you. Well if you are fortunate to have a particular love song that you both love, why not incorporate the song into the wedding ceremony. It can be used:

•  For the processional/ recessional.
•  The words of your love song can be incorporated as part of the wedding vows.
•  The words of the song can be recited to an instrumental background by one of your guests.
•  You can hire a band to perform cover versions of the songs of your favorite artists.

 The words can also be incorporated into the wedding vows if it’s a love song, or can be recited to the background of an instrumental track by one of your bridesmaids. If your budget allows you can hire a band for your wedding reception that can do cover versions of songs of your favorite artists!!

Your favorite movie: Is there a particular movie that you both love? Whether action, romantic, thriller  here are a few things you can do to make this favorite be part of the wedding reception:

•  Give out your favorite movie as favors to your guests. ( do it legally research about any copyrights)
• If it is a romance get love quotes from the movie and have them in your program or table numbers.
• Name your tables after different characters in the movie.
• Use the movies soundtrack as part of your reception music.

Your best friend:  We all have that one friend who has seen us through thick and thin. Why not celebrate your friendship with them by letting them be part & parcel of your wedding day. You can assign special roles to your best friends for example:

•  They can have the distinguished honor of being your maid of honor and best-man.
• They can give a speech as your representatives during the lunch/ reception dinner.
• For the bride who has no one to escort her down the aisle they can have the pleasure of doing that.
• They can be witnesses on your marriage certificate.

Your favorite date/ month: My favorite date is 25th December commonly known as  Christmas day, this is because it is the season to share and celebrate with our friends and family. My favorite month is January because I was born then. Your favorite date and month can play quite a significant role in your wedding. Here are some ideas:

•  You can hold your wedding on your anniversary date i.e. the date that you first met or officially begun dating.
• You can schedule your honeymoon for your favorite  holiday & season e.g. Christmas

Your favorite  hobby: Do you have a particular hobby or past time activity that you like to indulge in with your partner for example: watching movies, or catching an afternoon nap or watching Manchester thrash Arsenal ( no offence to arsenal fans) whatever your hobby is you can use this as inspiration for your wedding reception as follows:

 Your wedding favors can be inspired from your hobby e.g. if I am a Manchester United Fan I can give out Manchester  United Football Jerseys.

 Your wedding scrapbook can also get ideas from your favorite hobby e.g. for the football loving couple the bride and groom can have a football jersey at their Karibu tent that can be signed by their wedding guests.
